Shower, toast and departure was the order of the morning and trying to find the elusive Devil's Boots, which after driving passed a couple of times we eventually noticed, doh!

A real highlight was Waikoropua Springs just outside of Takaka, unbelievably clear, deep, pure springs which really took our breath away.

Heading through Takaka we stopped for a flat white, hot chocolate and laundry run.  Takaka is a really quirky, arty and hippy town, the people watching was superb whilst we waited for our washing to dry.

All sorted and packed up we headed for Marakau next to Abel Tasman National Park to investigate and book a boat trip for the following day.

Trip booked for the following morning we stopped at Kaiteriteri beach

before heading to our campsite for the night, Kina Recreation reserve...bliss.  The site was managed by a couple in their thirties, four year old daughter and dog who all lived in this big, ancient, red hippy bus which hadn't or couldn't move.  Again cheap as chips, long drop dunnies which were almost at maximum capacity (if you get my drift) leaving you holding your breath whilst incarcerated and bursting out all lungs blazing when finished...but the site location was lovely.  We sat watching and feeding the birds until dark, listening to music (quietly) and chatting until late.  A very peaceful and enjoyable night.
