After 24 hours with little sleep and THE hottest plane ever we made it to Bangkok Noi Railway station to catch our steam train on to Kanchanaburi. Note to self: 3 baht may get you access to the toilet but it doesn't give you access to toilet paper; don't head for the toilet anytime 30 minutes before departure to avoid heart attack when they practice the depature whistle and Matt plus all belongings are on the train!

We arrive at Jim's guesthouse, an oasis built by Jim (she) and pretty much everything done by her daughter. Our re-group time begins before we officially become backpackers.
