Escaping from Ko Jum in the early hours we spent the next 24 hours travelling to Melbourne and Andy and Jacqui's new home in St Kilda.  Only a stones throw from their old apartment they now have poll position for the forthcoming Grand Prix across the park

and the most amazing roof terrace and sea view.

These swing chairs are so comfortable, bouncey and rotatable that Matt and I have decided to have these instead of a sofa when we do eventually home make again.  During a storm and 120mph winds one evening I did actually venture on to the terrace to rescue these little darlings as my brother and Matt were prioritising other less important items!!

Just a 10 minute walk to St Kilda beach

and the most amazing kite surfing exhibitions from both novices and professionals.

As no one would be surprised we took a little time to chillax, catch-up and enjoy a few beers/wines during the sun or rain.

Indie, Schnouzer owner of Andy and Jacqui, taking Matt for one of their regular early morning walks along the Grand Prix circuit.

Matt on our way back from hospital after having my foot x-rayed, I just know we'll be watching the Grand Prix and he'll be shouting "I stood there"!

As if staying in the luxury accommodation wasn't enough, Andy and Jacqui treated us to a night at the Cirque du Soleil which was utterly AMAZING and magical, another item on my bucket list crossed off!

No trip to Oz would be complete without a little animal action, or should I say no action as the Koalas were sleepy (not surprisingly being nocturnal)

Wallabies not bouncing

Kangaroos like statues or asleep

and Indie unamused that she couldn't come with us

We also took in some sights in the city, Melbourne museum was awesome, lots to see, twiddle with and test out

A stop in China Town

before seeing Graffiti street

before catching a tram from Flinders Street back to St Kilda.

Our last sunset in Melbourne (for now) before catching our night flight to Christchurch and impending campervan heaven.
